One Day
Mehandipur Balaji or Kaila Devi, on its own. Either makes a comfortable single-day trip with an early-morning pickup and an evening return to Agra. Karauli town fits here too, with Kaila Devi as an add-on.
Two Days
Both temples, without the endurance test. The two-temple circuit can be done in one day — about 12 to 13 hours door to door, roughly eight of them driving — but the two-day version with a night halt in Karauli spreads it out. This is what we recommend when elderly parents are travelling.
Three Days Or More
Khatu Shyam Ji and Salasar Balaji. Both lie further into Rajasthan, so the distance alone makes them a multi-day yatra. They are planned entirely to your dates, and are often combined with each other.

A Hanuman temple in Dausa district known across India. Approx. 115 km, 2.5–3 hrs each way. Same-day return with the driver waiting through darshan.

When These Temples Are Busiest
Kaila Devi
- Chaitra Navratri, usually March–April, is the Kaila Devi Fair and the busiest time of the year.
- Sharad Navratri, September–October, is the second peak.
- On both, roads near the temple are diverted and there is a longer walk from the parking. Book several days ahead and start early.
Mehandipur Balaji
- Tuesdays and Saturdays are considered the most auspicious and draw the largest crowds.
- Hanuman Jayanti is the busiest single day.
- For any of these, book 2–3 days ahead and take the earliest pickup you can manage.
